Terms
The terms for using this website and for working with the studio.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
These terms cover two separate things: using this website, and hiring Fuegaux Design Co. for design and development work. Fuegaux Design Co. is a one person studio run by Jose Hiram Negrete in Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas.
Using this website
This site is a portfolio. It is provided as it is, for information. The studio tries to keep it accurate but makes no guarantee that everything here is current, and it may change or be taken down at any time.
The writing, design, code and photography on this site belong to Fuegaux Design Co. unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to link to it and to quote a reasonable amount with credit. Please do not republish it wholesale or present it as your own work.
Client names, logos and product names shown in the portfolio belong to their respective owners and appear here to show work that was done for them.
Links to other sites
This site links to client websites and to the App Store. The studio does not control those destinations and is not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Project work
Everything below applies to paid work unless a signed proposal or contract for a specific project says otherwise. Where a project contract and these terms disagree, the project contract wins.
Quotes and scope
Work starts from a written scope and a fixed price or an hourly rate agreed in advance. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately before it is built. A quote is valid for 30 days.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is due before work begins and the balance is due on completion, before final handover of files, accounts or a live launch. Invoices are payable within 14 days.
Client responsibilities
Projects move at the speed of the information they are given. The client is responsible for supplying content, images, brand assets, and any access needed for hosting or domains, and for confirming that they have the right to use everything they supply. If material a client provides infringes someone else’s rights, that is the client’s responsibility.
Revisions
Each project includes a stated number of revision rounds. Further changes are quoted as additional work.
Ownership and handover
When a project is paid for in full, the client owns the finished website or application built for them, along with the content they supplied.
The studio keeps ownership of its own underlying tools, boilerplate and general techniques, and may reuse them on other projects. Third party components such as WordPress, plugins, themes, typefaces and stock images stay under their own licences, and the client is responsible for keeping any paid licences current.
Showing the work
The studio may show completed work in this portfolio and in marketing unless the client asks in writing that it stay private.
Third party services
Projects usually depend on outside services such as hosting, domain registrars, payment processors, Apple, and Google. Their pricing, uptime, review decisions and policies are outside the studio’s control. In particular, no one can guarantee that Apple will approve an app or how long a review will take.
Support after launch
A short support window for fixing defects is included where the project scope says so. Ongoing maintenance, hosting, content updates and new features are separate arrangements.
No guarantee of results
The studio builds sites and apps carefully and follows current good practice, including for search visibility and performance. It cannot promise particular rankings, traffic, downloads, revenue, or approval by any third party.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the studio’s total liability for a project is limited to the amount paid for that project, and the studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Clients are responsible for keeping their own backups after handover.
Cancellation
Either side may end a project in writing. Work completed up to that point is payable, and any deposit covering completed work is not refundable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes
These terms may be updated, and the current version will always be posted here with the date at the top. The version in force when a project is agreed is the one that applies to that project.
